Up to now
I decided that for my own benefit and also for those other people making their way in the world of voice over that it would be a good idea to share things here that have been important to me in my journey.
First let me say that working in Voice Over is something I love to do. So much so that I would and have done it for free just because I love doing it. At this point in my journey, it's time to figure out how it can provide a living for me.
I actually started this journey in New York and began my first ever real step to making it a career there at Edge Studio. It was my first time "in the booth" and I fell in love right away.... I knew right away that this is what I wanted to do. Since then I've worked only from my own personal "booth" ( a far cry from that wonderful place at Edge Studio) but I'm just as besotted now as I was then.
Over time, I've begun to build my home studio. Charles built a small booth for me and yet I continue to battle the neighbor's air conditioner, the yard guy's blower and my little dogs protecting the house from mailmen and the UPS guys.
In subsequent posts I hope to go over some of the trials and tribulations that I have encountered, people that inspire me and links that have helped me learn.
